MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 9 AT SANDOWN ON SUNDAY MORNING!

Race 9 Sandown 8.30 I Wish I Win (1/1)

Ran on strongly from off the pace to win readily at Caulfield last month on his first start for 5 months; can improve again and looks a horse going places so big chance against these; definitely worth keeping safe.

The way I WISH I WIN trounced them at Caulfield was pretty impressive and if in the same form he should take all the beating here. It’s no surprise to see him clear favourite for this and he’ll probably end up going off odds-on come post time. Ayrton has won 6 from 10 but has gone off the boil recently and will need to bounce back to have a say. He has at least been given time since that Eagle Farm run. Open Minded is 1-1 over the trip but a bit more exposed than the two mentioned above and will likely need a career best to come away with the prize here. Regardsmaree has disappointed the last twice but his earlier form stacks up so not one to be entirely underestimated.

Race 2 Northam 7.09 Malkar Pindari (7/4)

Progressive filly who caught the eye again finishing well from off the pace for second here last time; up in trip again and plenty going for him so it looks a decent opportunity for him to get off the mark; sure to go well.

This looks a straight shootout between the top pair in the market and ready preference is for the slightly bigger price of the two in MALKAR PINDARI. She will be thundering home and I think this will pan out in her favour. Hooah Havana has a similar profile to be honest but might race more prominently here and that could end up costing him. Yarralea is another one not without promise but she was third of four at Belmont last time and will need to better that to come away with the prize. Citino is an intriguing newcomer but not much support for him at the moment so watch the market on that one. He will likely need the experience and be better further down the line so overlooked for now.
