MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT GRAFTON ON TUESDAY MORNING!

Race 8 Grafton 7.40 Easier Said (2/1)

Promising mare who improved to make the breakthrough at Gold Coast on penultimate start, winning convincingly; only beaten 2 lengths in a better race than this at Sunshine Coast last time; more to come so big shout.

This looks a decent opportunity for EASIER SAID to get herself back in the winners enclosure. She impressed at Gold Coast on penultimate start and then bumped into one last time only beaten a couple of lengths. She can still improve and especially over this trip so gets a confident vote to come away with the prize. The second fav I’mtimmyzou is unexposed and won at Taree last time so does look the danger. Letmeletgo ran well when third at Lismore but blew out at Eagle Farm last time so that leaves him with enough to prove. It is then 11/1 bar the rest with perhaps Bartender Blues the one with a squeak of hitting the frame but I’ll be very surprised if anything manages to spring an upset here.

Race 5 Yeppoon 6.45 Shaluna (2/1)

Tough mare who arrives here in great form having won 2 of her last 4 starts; ran well when second over track and trip last time; drawn up the inside so this should pan out favourably and has very good claims; go close.

Hard to look past SHALUNA given recent form figures of 1212. She has been hugely consistent and deserves to get her head back in front. She bumped into Knight’s Sword last time and if she runs to that level again she will likely be tough to beat. She is drawn up the inside and that could work in her favour. Scent Of Fear is exposed but still respected. She has won 6 races and placed a whopping 24 times from 54 stats. Should give her running again but likely vulnerable to younger legs. Ready For Magic was third last time and if building on that might be the danger. Yuan Fen has blown out recently and needs to bounce back to have a say. Bondurant more to come but needs to improve.
