MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 4 AT CRANBOURNE ON WEDNESDAY MORNING!
Race 4 Cranbourne 5.45 Crux (4/5)
Good looking chestnut who ran on well from well off the pace to finish an encouraging fourth on debut at Sale; sure to improve from that initial experience and well placed to make the breakthrough now; keep safe.
This won’t take a great deal of winning so that makes CRUX a standout following that debut fourth. He was given plenty to do but once the penny dropped he ran on strongly and was only beaten two and a half lengths into fourth at the line. He will come on plenty from that and should be up to taking this out. Vancouver Bay was down the field on debut and again finished nearer last than first at Ballarat. He does look a nice enough type though and should improve enough to be the danger in a race lacking strength in depth. Nouveau Marche showed some ability on debut but will need to improve a fair bit and quickly to spring a surprise in this. Zest For Life best of the rest but needs plenty more.

Race 1 Geraldton 6.49 Central Force (6/4)
Likeable grey who showed plenty when third on debut at Belmont and with natural progression could easily be the one to beat in this; should be more streetwise now and looks up to justifying favouritism.
A lot like my NAP in Australia on Wednesday CENTRAL FORCE showed enough on debut to make the breakthrough at just the second time of asking. He was beaten less than 3 lengths at the line and if he improves he should have this field covered. Classic Encounter finished last in that race but was beaten 4 and a half lengths so not entirely out of it if improving. I think the selection will confirm that form though. Obviously if both improve they should have this between them. Vital Times ran well at Pinjarra knocking on the door but blew out last time and has a bit to prove off he back of that. Massively exposed 0/21 in comparison to the market principals. Hard to see much else featuring.
