MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 1 AT BENDIGO ON SUNDAY MORNING!

Race 1 Bendigo 3.00 Dartboard (6/4)

Promising type who ran on strongly from off the pace to finish second at Geelong on debut; well bred being a half-brother to Anamoe; more to come for sure and should have too much for this field.

Big chance for DARTBOARD to make the breakthrough here. He impressed on debut and with more to come should have too much ability and class for this field. He is a half-brother to Anamoe so it’s in the genes and I’m hopeful he could be a smart one in time. Believe The Hype is well named but will need to better that midfield effort on debut to lay a glove on the selection. He definitely has a future but likely needs more time and experience to play a hand here. Campania Volpe also looks promising but was pretty clueless on debut and will need to leave that behind to get involved. Makusha has a bit of experience on side but get the impression this is a fairly deep race.

Race 8 Northam 9.45 Sesswa (7/4)

Likeable filly who continued her race by race progression to get her head in front over track and trip last time; more to come as she gains experience and well placed to follow up before going on to better things.

Big chance for SESSWA to follow up. She impressed last time and she should strip fitter from that and can keep improving so looks the most likely winner in this field. Does He Know won here before finishing fourth at Belmont but needs more to upset the selection here. Saasmit is already a decent yardstick but still needs more to trouble the principals and her recent form is a bit concerning. Lucky Landing ran well on penultimate start but let that form down last time so will need to better that to have a say here. Vital Gem is another one I’ll have my eye on going forward but not after that last run where he really disappointed. The other 3 have enough to prove in this.
