Thursday’s Australian Horse Racing Tips
HEROIC BOY IS THE ONE TO BEAT AT TOWNSVILLE OVERNIGHT! Also racing in Australia from Kembla Grange, Ballarat and Northam. Overnight Double pays 4/1!
NAP – Best tip overnight
Race 3 Townsville 4.45 Heroic Boy (best price 10/11)
Ran on strongly from off the pace to win over further here last month; won 2 of his last 3 now and looks progressive; should have a good pace to run down here and comfortably the most likely winner again.
No horse comes here in better form than HEROIC BOY so I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t make it 3 wins from his last 4 starts. He impressed last time and as long as this step back in trip doesn’t catch him out he should be hitting the line best. Mission Estate is 2 from 5 over the trip but is 0/5 at the track which would have to be concerning. Neveton has won over C&D but has gone off the boil a bit. If bouncing back she could be the main danger to the favourite. Wicked Chance won at Cairns but then disappointed here last time behind the selection and has plenty of ground to make up. Better Than Elvis is yet to get his head in front and this doesn’t look any easier so plenty to find on the figures.

Race 7 Northam 8.55 Linden Lady (best price 6/4)
Likeable filly who ran her best race to date when runner-up over shorter here last time; more to come as she goes up in trip and this looks a good opportunity for her to make the breakthrough; keep safe.
This won’t take a great deal of winning so LINDEN LADY is fully expected to make the most of a decent opportunity. She continued her race-by-race progression to go close last time and up in trip again with more to come she can go one better here. Bernbrae has finished third on two starts so far and is going the right way like the selection so I expect her to finish second. Vast Art let inexperience get the better of him on debut but better will be expected now. Still has enough to find to be troubling the market principals though. It is then 14/1 bar those with perhaps Play Lady Play the most interesting of them. She didn’t run badly when third last time and could still have a bit more to come yet.
