MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT GERALDTON ON THURSDAY!
Race 6 Geraldton 9.45 Anna’s Boy (best price 2/1)
Looked good winning at Northam 3 starts back and bounced back from a below par effort to get within a neck of victory at Ascot at a big price; this easier and should take all the beating; will be in the box seat.
From a low draw it is hard to look past the improving ANNA’S BOY here. He went mightily close last time and this is easier if anything. He can keep progressing with experience and up in trip there should be more in the locker when called upon. Doowahdiddy is more exposed but was back in the winners enclosure here last time and is actually 2-2 at this track so definitely looks the danger. Royal Gap was second to Be Seated here last time and that was a good enough run to see him competitive here. Aurman Zou is just 3 wins from 45 starts so while he might be involved it is hard to see him springing an upset. Ebony Magi ran well last time but lacks consistency and this has strength in depth.

Race 5 Gatton 6.35 Amore Primus (best price 9/4)
Likeable mare who impressed winning at Grafton and then following up at Sunshine Coast; blew out at Eagle Farm last time but obviously better than that and if bouncing back has major claims in this field.
I’m expecting AMORE PRIMUS to go close at Gatton overnight. This mare was denied the hat-trick last time but is much better than that and can put things right here. He has a good draw and if things go to plan should go close. Eye Shoot To Win won at Toowoomba last month but has been beaten twice since. Went close last time though so might be the one to give the favourite most to think about. Round Of Applause is fairly exposed now but wasn’t disgraced in third last time and could go well without winning. Ego Dancer lets backers down again last time and needs to rediscover form to have a chance here. East Esplanade is another one who has gone off the boil so this a big enough ask.
