Race 3 Hawkesbury 4.25 Floating (best price 11/10)
Good looking sort who ran on strongly from off the pace to make the breakthrough at Newcastle last time; open to further improvement now the penny has dropped and good chance to go and follow up here.
It is difficult to oppose FLOATING here following that impressive win at Newcastle last time. He is clearly trending the right way now and with scope for further progression looks well placed to follow up. Nautical Miss also looks to have a bright future having won at Kembla Grange and then only missed narrowly last time. She looks the obvious danger to the selection and I expect the pair to battle it out. Dreamdeel won at Taree last time beating 13 rivals and is best of the rest if improving again. This looks a pretty decent race and one which should throw up plenty of future winners. Fast Sagrado only has 1 win from 11 but ran well when third at Newcastle and might go better than his odds.

Race 6 Warracknabeal 6.00 Rutilant (best price 6/4)
Likeable type who won at Warren back in December and far from disgraced when third at Tuncurry next time out; solid run when second on reappearance at Mildura and if he improves again good chance to win.
After just 7 runs there should be lots more to come from RUTILANT and he will strip fitter from that reappearance second at Mildura. I think he can record his third career win here. Abseiler was expected to run a little better at Wangaratta but should have a squeak in here. Only 1 win from 10 starts but still the likely danger. Claudia Shiver is even more exposed being just 1 win from 15 but she did go close at St Arnaud and might be in the mix as well in a race that lacks strength in depth. Missed The Mark was only fourth at Ballarat and will need to better that to get involved. Hugo Loves Vegas ran poorly at Echuca and needs to bounce back. Hard to see him springing an upset here.
