MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT MOONEE VALLEY ON FRIDAY MORNING!

Race 6 Moonee Valley 9.45 Elite Icon (best price 6/5)

Good looking sort who made the breakthrough here back in February and then was back to his best to make it 2 from his last 3 on final start last campaign; promises to do better again so can make a winning return.

I think as long as this trip doesn’t prove too sharp ELITE ICON should make a successful return. He has plenty of potential this horse and with 2 wins from his last 3 if he improves again he will be hard to beat. He likes to race handy so hopefully will bounce out and make all. Night Of Delight has won 3 of her last 4 and she looks the danger. She is more exposed though and lacks the potential of the favourite. Boss Lady Rocks knocked on the door at Albury last time but this looks deeper company so she’ll need more to spring an upset. In Due Time is still unexposed but was beaten at Pakenham last time. Who Shot Suzy might be a bit of value to hit the frame as she arrives in winning form as well.

Race 2 Wagga 4.10 Cliff House (best price 6/4)

Promising type who caught the eye running on strongly for second on debut at Narrandera last month; improving to win convincingly over shorter here last time; more to come up in trip so obvious chance.

Hard to look past CLIFF HOUSE here following that 3 length win over shorter here last time. He is progressive and the step up in trip will only help so he should justify favouritism. The only pleasant surprise is his price as I thought he’d be odds-on for this and may well be come post time. Put To Shame is second favourite but only has 1 win from 10 attempts so I think that tells you about the lack of quality in opposition. Chaotic Beauty won at Goulburn on penultimate start but was only fifth here last time and needs to do better to land a serious blow here. Raffish is just 1 win from 12 but on his best form might have a squeak. Hard to see him winning though so a place perhaps his best hope.
