NAP – My best tip of the day
Wetherby 4.35 Ukantango (best price 11/8)
Promising type who stayed on strongly to win his bumper at Stratford and then made a successful hurdles debut making all at Aintree back in May, winning impressively; more to come and one to keep firmly on side.
Olly Murphy is operating at a near 30% strike rate so I’m hopeful the promising UKANTANGO can make a winning return at Wetherby on Friday. He is 2-2 for this yard having won a bumper at Stratford and then really impressing on hurdles debut at Aintree. He has to shoulder a penalty here but he is potentially smart and I wouldn’t want to oppose. Don Hollow represents the Skelton yard and he looked like a nice young horse winning his bumper here in February. He should progress well now jumping but might just be bumping into one here. Burrows Hall was second to Fringill Dike at Hexham when last seen and that was encouraging so he looks comfortably best of the rest.

Newmarket 3.15 Dual Identity (best price 2/1)
Quickened up smartly to win impressively at Sandown earlier in the season; given too much to do on penultimate start and then another big run in defeat third in the Cambridgeshire last month; hard to beat.
I know he is off a career-high mark now but I still think DUAL IDENTITY is the one to beat at Newmarket on Friday. The way he won at Sandown 3 starts back was impressive and sticks in the mind. He has likely improved in defeat since being given too much to do next time out and then running an excellent third in the Cambridgeshire last month. He still has more to come so a further 4lb rise should be manageable. Frantanck showed a good attitude to win at Windsor 11 days ago and he looks capable of better again so back up in trip under a penalty he looks the danger. Bad Company won at Epsom over a mile and a half and despite being beaten twice since still arrives here at the top of his game.
