Promising filly who was given a lot to do on debut but ran on strongly for third and shaped as though she’d do better for the run; open to improvement and well placed to go a couple of places better here.
What a night Down Under overnight! The Mega Acca went in at 16/1 as the NAP and NB won to land a nice double too. Hopefully I can find some more winners on Sunday to cap off a profitable week. I’m going to head to Muswellbrook for the NAP and STARLINER can improve enough to win this. She was sent off fairly big odds on debut and was given a mountain to climb. She ran on strongly once the penny dropped and should know a lot more this time around. Golden Button is 0/6 and is second favourite so this lacks quality. He did go close at Port Macquarie though so looks the main danger if improving again but he has had a few chances already. Holly Road also knocking on the door and best of rest.

Race 4 Goulburn 4.10 Midnight Oasis (best price 6/4)
Progressive mare who has won 2 of her last 3 and looks firmly on the upgrade now; won convincingly last time when the money was down; this winnable and more to come so looks sure to go close.
Great chance for MIDNIGHT OASIS to continue on an upward trajectory. She has won 2 of her last 3 now and is still improving after just the 10 runs. She goes back up in trip slightly but that shouldn’t bother her and I think she’ll have too many gears for this field. Second favourite Tavi L’Amour impressed winning at Hawkesbury but failed to back that up at Warwick Farm and is left with a point to prove. If she bounces back she might be the danger but a bit to find in her current form you’d imagine. Sky Diamonds is more exposed but she is still a decent yardstick and I don’t expect her to be far away if putting her best form forward. Sifu ran well at Kembla Grange and might be worth a place bet here.
