MY NAP WON AGAIN YESTERDAY AND IS NOW ON A SEVEN-TIMER ON MONDAY!

Kempton 4.13 Candleford (best price 15/8)

Likeable type who couldn’t have been more impressive winning the Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot on return; not disgraced in defeat after but back to best when third at Ascot last time; acts well over this track and trip.

My NAP won again yesterday so the winning run continued and I head into a new week chasing a SEVEN-TIMER now! I’m going to head on the AW at Kempton where CANDLEFORD has to be the play. I thought he ran a cracker at Ascot last time really catching the eye with how he finished his race and given he has won over C&D I think there is plenty going for him here. He won’t need to find much more to get back to winning ways so no surprise to see him at the top of the betting. Warren Point is a horse I still think a fair bit of and he looks the most obvious danger. He is still unexposed so should have further improvement to come and I think the pair will battle this one out.

Hereford 3.10 Kingston Sunflower (best price 9/4)

Progressive mare who was backed like defeat was out the question when bolting up at Huntingdon earlier this month; followed up as the odds suggested at Ludlow; more on her plate again but may be up to the task.

This will be tougher but even still it looks a good opportunity for KINGSTON SUNFLOWER to complete the hat-trick. She has been pretty electric the last twice and under likely aggressive tactics again she should be hard to catch here. I Know Sea The Clouds goes forwards sometimes but I don’t think he’ll want to take on the selection early so she might even end up getting a soft lead again. Stroll On By looks the danger as he is bred to be pretty useful and didn’t run badly when second to Keep Running at Bangor. He has had a wind op since and the cheekpieces go on so connections will be hopeful of an improved display. Robert Walpole has ground to make up with Sea The Clouds so needs much more.
