Race 10 Keeneland Breeders’ Cup 9.40 Silver Knott (best price 5/4)

Exciting colt who has won 3 of his last 4 starts and put that Champagne disappointment behind him to win the Autumn Stakes in good style last month; more to come yet and armed with a ton of potential.

With 3 wins from his last 4 the exciting SILVER KNOTT looks one of our strongest runners on Breeders’ Cup Friday. He failed to fire in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster but was quickly back on track beating Epicetus in the Autumn Stakes and is clearly armed with a ton of potential. He will be hitting the line strong and I think as long as he doesn’t get too far back they will struggle to stop him in the closing stages. The likeable Victoria Road is second favourite for Aidan O’Brien and he has looked progressive but not to the same extent as the favourite. I do think he’ll run well and looks solid from a place perspective but the selection should be hard to beat.

Race 1 Golden Gate Fields 8.10 Refi Now (best price 11/8)

Progressive sort who arrives here chasing a four-timer after kicking clear convincingly over track and trip last time; still just a 4yo so open to further improvement and should take a lot of beating again.

Hard to look past the improving REFI NOW who is eyeing up a four-timer and has actually won 4 of his last 5 now too. He ticks nearly every box and was impressive over C&D last time. This is easier if anything and I can see him going off odds-on come post time. Evenrevenworse has won 3 of his last 4 on this surface and hasn’t been running badly on turf so looks the danger. Fascinated is unexposed and has won 2 of his last 3 but was held last time and didn’t have much more left when asked to dig in. Still has a bright enough future though so don’t underestimate. Our Expectation closed rapidly to win on dirt last time but he needs to prove he can do that back on a synthetic surface.
