NAP – My best tip of the day
Wolverhampton 7.30 Rose Light (best price 6/4)
Nathaniel filly who has improved with each start and ran her best race to date when runner-up at Newcastle last month; sets the standard and remains open to further progress yet so should win this.
This is unlikely to take much winning so I think it makes ROSE LIGHT a standout. Andrew Balding’s filly has run with promise in 3 starts to date and won’t need to find much more to open her account here. She chased home a very solid yardstick in Wonderful Times at Newcastle last month and nothing else in here has managed to reach that level of form so far. Tornado colt Ehteyat has been sent off at odds of 40/1 and 25/1 so far and will surely be capable of better at some point but might still need more experience. Mountain Queen probably did a bit too much too soon when down the field at Goodwood and is another to note but she still has enough to find with the selection if she is to spring an upset here.

Caught the eye running on well to finish runner-up on debut in a bumper at Warwick on sole start last season; ran green too so likely to have improved plenty from the outing; more to come now hurdling.
I was impressed by Alien Storm at Plumpton 3 weeks ago but he was previously held by Invictus De Brion in a bumper and this will be tough carrying a penalty. He has to give ATTACCA 7lb and that will likely prove decisive. The latter is a very promising individual himself after finishing runner-up in a bumper at Warwick when last seen back in March. He was still very raw on that occasion running green throughout but did run on well for second. He will know a lot more now and with improvement to come going hurdling he makes tons of appeal for a top yard. With Alien Storm conceding a penalty Invictus De Brion might emerge as the danger. He should also have a bright future.
