NAP – Best tip overnight
MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 2 AT ASCOT ON WEDNESDAY MORNING!
Race 2 Ascot 5.59 Lexington City (best price 11/10)
Likeable type who is still improving with experience despite having won twice already; only run down late on penultimate start and again ran well in defeat last time; more to come and should be winning this.
Not the best day in Australia but I do think LEXINGTON CITY will take a lot of beating at Ascot on Wednesday. He has already won twice despite not looking the finished article and given this is easier than recent assignments he should have too much for this field. Sky Duke is also unexposed and is running well enough to be the main danger to the favourite. Galaxy Cat has been thereabouts recently but is a little more exposed than the pair mentioned above. She will probably run her race but vulnerable to improvers. Basil’s Dream won at Kalgoorlie but was then held last time so needs more improvement. Both Zenaze and Denga look to have enough to find to get involved here.

Race 3 Hawkesbury 3.35 Legio Ten (best price 6/4)
Promising colt who caught the eye running on well for second on reappearance at Cranbourne last month; only going to improve from that first start for 5 months and definitely one to keep on side.
Another race that might not take a great deal of winning so LEGIO TEN really should be getting the job done. He impressed on first start since June when second at Cranbourne last month and won’t need to find much more to take this. He looks to have the most potential in this field and it is no surprise to see him a warm favourite. Chipper has a similar profile without being as progressive but is still respected as the main danger. River Danzka bounced back from a poor run at Warwick Farm when fourth at Newcastle last time so is considered if improving again. Joyrider has only been seen twice but lacks a recent run so might do better for the outing as well as the experience.
