Race 7 Scone 5.55 Wrathful (best price 10/11)
Good looking chestnut who needed the outing and experience when fourth at Warwick Farm on debut last month; quickly improved to win well at Newcastle last time, running on strongly; more to come now.
There was lots to like about the way WRATHFUL picked them up from off the pace at Newcastle last time and with further improvement on the cards he should be able to make it 2 wins from 3 starts here. He is up in trip slightly again and has lots to like once more. Savanaci is a nice mare in the making and shaped well again when second at Kembla Grange last month. She should give the selection most to think about if finding further improvement. Supra Marnium is next in and he is 0/9 and already starting to look exposed so I think that tells you a lot about the lack of quality on show here. Mojo Classic best of the rest but hard to see him landing a blow on the front pair in the betting.

Race 9 Bairnsdale 6.00 Peintre’s Pride (best price 6/4)
Promising filly who made a bright start winning on debut at Moe last month, racing on the speed and finding enough to score; speedy type so drop back in trip slightly no concern and can make it a perfect 2-2.
Great chance for the improving PEINTRE’S PRIDE to go 2-2 here. She impressed on debut at Moe and this isn’t all that tougher so she should be able to remain unbeaten. I think she’ll push forward from her wide gate and they might not see which way she goes. High Risk has completely gone off the boil and she is exposed compared to the favourite so I’m struggling to see why she is second favourite let alone how she wins this race. Rock Of Kryptonite has good form to his name but has also lost his way somewhat and has enough to prove. Obsessive Nature was disappointing when last seen in September and needs to bring his best form to get involved. Zoe Mae looked good at Kilmore but struggled since.
