MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND IS ON A FIVE-TIMER NOW!
Race 2 Northam 6.22 Trionfante (best price 11/10)
Promising filly who sprung a surprise winning on debut over track and trip last month and then backed that up running well in second at Ascot last time; can improve again and looks worth backing against these.
There was lots to like about the way TRIONFANTE won on debut and that second at Ascot was a big effort in defeat too. This isn’t the toughest race and she should have what it takes to go 2 from 3. Rain God ran well when second at Geraldton but has flopped twice since and needs to bounce back to be the danger here. Sioux City is another one that looked good when third at Ascot but blew out last time so also arrives with a bit to prove off the back of that disappointing run. Nutwood still has a bit of potential as she looked good winning here earlier in the year and might still be capable of better but probably better over a bit further than this as 0/2 over the trip. The rest enough to find.

Race 3 Cairns 4.47 Fodor (best price 11/10)
Improving with experience and deserved to get his head in front over shorter here last month; open to further progress going back up in trip and looks the most likely winner especially if getting a good gallop.
No surprise to see FODOR top the betting for this as he impressed last time and back up in trip should be able to follow up. Nuclear Girl is the obvious danger having also won last time making the breakthrough. She will give the favourite most to think about I think that is pretty certain. Lord Power is now 0/14 which includes 0/7 at the track and 0/6 over the trip so hard to recommend. Heartsareroman is 0/7 but it is still early days with her so not one to give up on completely but even still seems to have enough on her plate here to make the breakthrough. Wilson’s Gift just isn’t showing enough to win a race like this currently. Pocket Fugitive is 100/1 along with Wake Up Soo who have shown very little.
