Race 6 Delta Downs 1.15 Too Much Crown (best price 2/1)

Promising type who came from miles back to win well over track and trip last month, hitting the line hard; beaten narrowly over track and trip again last time; remains open to improvement and looks worth siding with.

My US NAP was back in the winners enclosure last night thankfully so hopefully I can kick start another sequence at Delta Downs tonight. TOO MUCH CROWN impressed on penultimate start thundering home from an unlikely position and he was only narrowly denied last time. He has more to come yet and remains unexposed so no surprise to see him popular for this. Target Practice won 2 of his first 3 starts but has been beaten twice since albeit up in grade on penultimate start. He has more to come after a handful of starts and looks the danger but does need to bounce back. Cpriority showed a good attitude on penultimate start but was well held last time so has a bit to prove now.

Race 4 Mahoning Valley 7.09 Trojan Tale (best price 5/2)

Created a big impression hacking up by 15 lengths on debut over this trip last month; thrown into the deep end off the back of that last time and failed to fire; this much easier so can get firmly back on track here.

Given how impressive that debut win was from TROJAN TALE perhaps it was no surprise to see them chuck him into a really tough race last time. He let backers down but I think it is probably worth forgiving. He has been given time since and if bouncing back in much calmer waters should be able to resume his progression. The danger is probably K Kid who has a similar profile to the selection. He won on debut but then struggled against better horses last time. He has more to come so should bounce back and give the favourite most to think about. Wetzel was 15 lengths behind the selection on debut but improved to win last time and could be best of the rest but strictly held on recent form.
