MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 6 AT CRANBOURNE!

Race 6 Cranbourne 9.45 Mutinous (best price 6/5)

Good looking chestnut who has turned a corner lately winning comfortably at Tatura and improving again to follow up impressively at Moonee Valley at the start of the month; hat-trick very much on the cards now.

Great chance for the likeable MUTINOUS to complete a hat-trick of wins. He was impressive last time and should keep improving. He will hit the gates running and likely look to make all here. Senegalia has just the 1 win from 7 attempts but that did come at Stawell last time so if she builds on that she could be the danger. Margie’s Boy made a bright start winning on debut at Bairnsdale but this is obviously tougher so he is going to need to improve a fair bit to spring the upset. Aminatu looked promising initially but she has become expensive to follow and just doesn’t look to be running well enough to be a serious threat to the market principals here. Obsessive Nature probably best of the rest.

Race 7 Yarra Valley 4.30 Crazy In Love (best price 11/8)

Promising mare who made a bright start winning on debut at Pukekohe back in the summer; put away since and open to stacks of improvement so no surprise to see her make a winning return; keep safe.

The money certainly came for CRAZY IN LOVE on debut and she didn’t let supporters down winning with a bit to spare at Pukekohe back in the summer. She has joined Ciaron Maher and David Eustace now and is expected to improve plenty. This looks a good starting point and I’ll be surprised if she is beaten. I can see her being strong in the betting once more so no surprise to see her go off odds-on for this. Founex has won 1 from 6 so far but is building a nice enough profile and he looks the danger if building on that Cranbourne second last time. Lake Tai is more exposed with 2 wins from 16 but blew out at Bendigo on final start and has a point to prove now. Defrosted could bounce back for a place.
