MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND IS GOING FOR A RECORD 8 WINS!
Race 1 Albury 2.15 Royston Head (best price 11/10)
Good looking sort who attracted notable market support before getting with half a length of victory on debut at Corowa last month; should be more streetwise now and very good chance to go one better here.
My Australian NAP won again overnight so I’m now chasing a record EIGHT-TIMER Down Under overnight. I’m off to Albury where ROYSTON HEAD should win the opener. He missed just half a length on debut and with natural improvement should be capable of going one better. There was a lot of money for him first-time out so he clearly is expected to have a bright enough future. This is winnable and he should take advantage. You’re Not The Boss is making his debut and he is bred to be fairly useful so might emerge as the danger despite lacking experience. He was third in a trial at Corowa so will likely be thereabouts. Kirrek is 0/5 now but at least shaped better when third at Corowa last time.

Race 3 Yarra Valley 3.30 Cannoli (best price 2/1)
Improving filly who has run two promising races since returning going close at Bendigo and again runner-up at Mornington last time; further progress to come and well placed to make the breakthrough now.
Another race that should be winnable and CANNOLI fits the bill to take it out. She has improved with each run and won’t need to find much more to get herself in the winners enclosure. That was another good effort when runner-up at Mornington and I’m confident she is the one to beat now. Harper Rae is unexposed after just two starts but will need to improve to upset the favourite. Hear Me Out might emerge as a greater threat after finishing third at Stony Creek on debut. She will improve so is likely to run well. Thida makes her debut here but unless heavily backed in the market I’d be happy to leave alone. Monomakh is expected to do better but should come on for the run here on return.
