Race 4 Gold Coast 5.15 Yellow Brick (best price 9/4)
Exciting horse who has won 5 from 6 to date and was a ready winner on return at Toowoomba last month in preparation for this; back up in trip and can keep improving so very much the one to beat.
Quality racing Down Under overnight with the Magic Millions 2YO Classic taking centre stage. I really like YELLOW BRICK as he bids to go 6 from 7 in his career to date. He has been pretty faultless and this step back up in trip is only going to help so difficult to oppose. Obviously a race packed full of quality as you’d expect and Russian Conquest won’t lie down easily. She chased home Anavinci on reappearance only denied a neck and if improving on that should run a big race. Spiritualised has won 4 from 9 so far and was impressive here beating Mobstar last time which is strong form. Hell I Am has also won 4 from 9 but needs more on that Gosford third to win a race as good as this.

Race 5 Pakenham 8.45 Flash Flood (best price 10/3)
Likeable type who impressed winning at Warrnambool on penultimate start; tough ask in a very good race on final start at Rosehill; put away since and sure to have improved to leading claims on return.
No surprise to see FLASH FLOOD favourite on return as good things are expected of this horse. He looked a nice prospect winning at Warrnambool on penultimate start and acquitted himself well in strong company on final start at Rosehill. He has a bright future and I expect his class to tell here. Grinzinger Prince is a decent yardstick who has won 2 from 10 so far. Not in the best form at Geelong last time though so will need to improve on that to get seriously competitive but don’t rule him out. Bellinger has won 4 from 23 in his career so more exposed but hasn’t been running badly so shouldn’t be underestimated. Set To Prophet is unexposed with 3 wins from 6 and won 2 of his last 3.
