NAP – My best tip of the day
Doncaster 1.35 Boothill (best price 11/8)
Progressive chaser who won his first two starts over fences before bumping into Jonbon at Sandown; back in the winners enclosure at Kempton, impressing last time; more to come and expected to have too much for these.
There was lots to like about the way BOOTHILL jumped and travelled at Doncaster before pulling out more in the closing stages. He is clearly a very bright prospect in this sphere and he would be unbeaten over fences if it wasn’t for bumping into Jonbon at Sandown. That horse is a short priced favourite for the Arkle at the Cheltenham Festival so he certainly lost little in defeat there. He likely has more to come and even carrying a penalty rates the one to beat in this field. Tommy’s Oscar was a smart hurdler and while he hasn’t gone on over fences yet he gets a weight pull for that second to Since Day One at Newcastle and should be able to reverse that form and emerge as the main danger here.

Cheltenham 2.25 Protektorat (best price 13/8)
Impressive performance to rout the opposition in the Betfair Chase at Haydock last time, powering away from them in the closing stages having jumped well; freshened up again since and clearly will take the beating.
Dan Skelton seems to have found the key to PROTEKTORAT now and there is no doubt he is a seriously impressive racehorse when everything clicks. That is precisely what happened in the Betfair Chase on return as he stormed clear to win by 11 lengths. He has been freshened up again with this the likely target and if in the same form then quite simply he wins this. He has won 5 times over fences now and the scary thing is there could still be more to come. Grand National hero Noble Yeats is the obvious danger having impressed with how he stayed on to beat Dashel Drasher, Ahoy Senor and Sounds Russian in the Many Clouds Chase at Aintree last month. He should run well again.
