BUSY DAY COMING UP DOWN UNDER! Racing in Australia on Friday morning from Werribee, Walcha, Canberra, Townsville, Port Lincoln, Kensington and much more. Overnight Double pays 5/1!

Race 4 Moonee Valley 8.45 Mutinous (best price 11/8)

Good looking chestnut who has won 2 of his last 3 and went down less than a length to another nice type at Cranbourne last time; still unexposed and if handling the drop back in trip should come out on top.

The way MUTINOUS won at this track at the start of December was impressive and with the likelihood of more to come he should get back to winning ways here. Kev’s Girl has a similar profile having won 4 from 15 and she looks the danger despite finishing down the field at Sandown last time. She just went too hard and if setting more realistic fractions she will still be in there pitching late. Cecil Street Lad won at Sunshine Coast on penultimate start and only missed narrowly on final outing. If he is fully tuned up he could run well but he should come on for the run and one or two others will likely be sharper. Tax Free Prophet has won his last two but this is going to be tougher once more.

Race 8 Moonee Valley 10.45 Holymanz (best price 7/4)

Promising type who won on debut and then went close at Bendigo; pitched into the deep end at Caulfield last time and these are much calmer waters so fully expected to resume his progress; worth chancing.

The Sandown Guineas was obviously a big ask for HOLYMANZ last time and he will find this much easier. He still brings a lot of potential to the table and is expected to come out on top. The danger is Elite Icon who is another promising horse with 2 wins and 4 placed efforts from just 8 starts. Obviously he has more to come and should put up some resistance. True Nobility won at Hamilton so comes here with confidence high but this is a stiff enough ask. Red Phantom ran a cracker at Sandown on penultimate start but wa held at Murtoe last time and needs more in this company. In Due Time has place claims but definitely needs to find more. She’s Booming a little more exposed so vulnerable.
