NAP – My best tip of the day

Promising filly by Sea The Stars; denied in the final strides on debut going down just a nose at the line; sure to improve from that initial outing and very much the one to beat in this.
My NAP won again yesterday despite being 15/8 up against an odds-on favourite. I’ll be hoping to continue this winning run on Monday and I’ve decided to head to the AW at Wolverhampton where MOUNTAIN SONG looks the one to beat. She couldn’t have done much more on debut without winning and with that experience under her belt I fully expect her to go one better now. The danger may well be her stablemate Eternal Hope who is bred to be pretty useful being a half-sister to Rio de La Plata. Of the rest Brightly was well found in the betting on two starts last year and looks to have a bright future so should come good at some point.

Plumpton 1.30 Shot Boii (best price 6/4)
Likeable type who kept finding more to land back-to-back wins at Lingfield and then showed a gutsy attitude to complete the hat-trick at Uttoxeter; only fourth at Exeter last month but can resume progress.
Things didn’t go to plan for SHOT BOII at Ffos Las last time but he had landed a hat-trick of wins prior to that and I think he still has potential off this mark. This is a winnable race and I can see him bouncing back and having a big say with Fergus Gillard back on claiming a handy 3lb once more. Crossing The Bar unseated at Doncaster last time but he wasn’t shaping badly on that occasion and down in class he looks to be the obvious danger to the selection. Beaufort West is proving a little frustrating pulling up at Catterick last time but he is at least down a couple more pounds in the weights so shouldn’t be entirely dismissed albeit looks up against it.
