MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT GOULBURN ON THURSDAY MORNING!

Race 5 Goulburn 4.55 Namid (best price 6/5)

Promising filly who created a good impression knuckling down well to win by a neck on debut at Corowa where she was well backed; obviously open to improvement and should be able to make it 2-2 here.

I was going to side with NAMID a while back when she was meant to run but they took her out for whatever reason. Hopefully she takes her chance here as she could potentially be a cut above this field. This won despite showing signs of inexperience on debut and is only going to improve from that. She should push forward from her wide gate and I think it’ll take a good one to peg her back. London Gal is a decent yardstick and she will give the favourite a test at least. Needs to better that last run but should get competitive. Ronny Rock Art disappointed last time but if he bounces back he could threaten perhaps without winning.

Race 8 Ipswich 7.00 Acrobatic (best price 6/4)

Good looking sort who won at this track back in October and has run two big races in defeat since finishing second at Doomben and then runner-up at Eagle Farm last time; can improve so should be hard to beat.

This looks a great opportunity for ACROBATIC to get himself back in the winners enclosure. He likes this track having won here back in October and with two creditable runs in defeat he should be hard to beat again. Matowatakpe is more exposed and finished nearer last than first at Sunshine Coast so will need to bounce back to lay a glove on the selection. Magic Charlee has a decent strike rate with 9 wins from 49 starts and has placed 10 times too in those starts. He will run his race but again for win purposes against these I think he might be vulnerable. Ammoudi Bay perhaps best of the rest but one paced at Doomben last time and needs more in this.
