NAP – My best tip of the day
Market Rasen 2.45 Kateira (best price 6/4)
Progressive mare who kept finding more to make a winning start over hurdles at Uttoxeter back in November, runner-up franked the form since; defied a penalty up in trip to win impressively at Huntingdon; hat-trick beckons now.
The way KATEIRA won at Huntingdon last time defying a penalty in the process was very impressive and she is clearly a mare improving fast with experience. She is back down in trip here but clearly has a bright future and I expect her to have too much for these rivals. Mrs Grimley is a likeable mare too and she impressed winning at Ffos Las last month and wasn’t disgraced in defeat at Leicester last time. She likely has more to come so should make a race of it. Passionate Pursuit is also worth a mention as she was in the process of running a decent race before unseating 2 out at Wincanton. Stowaway Jess goes hurdling now and will need to improve on her bumper form.

Southwell 6.30 Seagrave Fox (best price 9/4)
Promising colt who caught the eye being denied a run on reappearance at Wolverhampton; good run in defeat when third here and then improved to make the breakthrough last time; only up 4lb and should have more to come.
Now SEAGRAVE FOX knows how to win I think he could go on to rack up a bit of a sequence. I know he only prevailed by a nose last time but he still looked quite green in that race. He has only had 6 starts and a 4lb rise won’t be enough to stop him going in again if he keeps improving. He probably needs an end to end gallop to be seen to best effect and the good news here is both Trojan Legend and Samba Lady could push forward and give him just that. The threat is probably Greavsie who got within a length of victory at Kempton on penultimate start and was given too much to do last time. Of the rest Savannah Smiles should also do better at some point so is also noted.
