MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 4 AT MOONEE VALLEY ON FRIDAY!

Race 4 Moonee Valley 8.45 Foxicon (best price 11/10)

Promising mare who returned back to her best winning with a bit in hand over track and trip at the start of the month; obviously open to further improvement and with Kah in the saddle again she should have a good chance to follow up; definitely looks worth keeping safe against these.

I can see FOXICON being well backed in the run up to the race so the 11/10 might be worth snapping up now. She looked back to her best on reappearance and will strip fitter so should have a great chance to follow up. Petulant is a decent yardstick who has also won twice and she will likely put up the most resistance. She seemed to need the run when only fifth at Warwick Farm and if improving will be the danger. Fairy Magic has won 3 from 6 but was poor at Hobart on penultimate start and even following that second last time she might be left vulnerable. Berry Bubbly best of the rest but she probably only has place claims even if bringing her best. Invincibilus is also more exposed than most but shouldn’t be completely written off.

Race 2 Canterbury 7.30 Demiana (best price 6/4)

Likeable filly who made a bright start running on strongly from off the pace to win over track and trip when last seen back in December; sure to come on from that initial outing and looks to be pitched into the right race to make it a perfect 2-2 here; should be hitting the line best of all.

Hard to ignore that debut win from DEMIANA and if she improves she can go 2-2. She should get a good pace to target again and looks the most likely winner as the betting is suggesting. Lomandra left her debut run miles behind to win on return last time and is the obvious danger as she has a bright enough future as well. Silentsar won at Gold Coast on penultimate start but failed to back that up at this track last time and that leaves him with a bit to prove. Master Showman has gone off the boil having looked promising initially. If he bounces back he could obviously get involved but enough to prove on his current form. Ningaloo Star won at Newcastle but finds herself in deeper company here so unless improving will probably be vulnerable when the race picks up.
