Friday’s American Horse Racing Tips

Promising colt who left previous form behind to make the breakthrough here last month, winning impressively for the grade; sure to improve off the back of that and looks well placed to follow up so worth keeping safe.

Hard to oppose DOPPELGANGER at Laurel Park off the back of that easy win here last month. He is a colt going the right way now having been highly tried as a 3yo last year. He still brings a lot of potential to the table being lightly raced and he should have this field covered. Shaft's Bullet won his first two starts by a neck before going down just a nose last time. If he finds further improvement then he looks most likely to emerge as the danger. Nautilus certainly has the form to be a threat but he was poor last time and will need to better that to spring an upset here. One Ten was behind the latter on penultimate start and then let that form down blowing out again last time finishing fourth but beaten over 8 lengths.

Tough sort who is still improving judging by the way he was narrowly edged out here last month; his win at Belmont back in September last year was impressive and if building on that last run should have the beating of these.

With more to come JAVA BUZZ should be capable of getting back to winning ways here. He smashed the opposition by 3 lengths at Belmont back in September last year and has run well in defeat since most notably going down less than a length last time. Back slightly in trip he might not get caught here as this is easier if anything. Freedom Matters won 2 of his last 3 starts last campaign but hasn't returned in that form sadly despite only going down narrowly last time. He will still need more to beat this favourite. Over The Channel won on penultimate start but finished a tired horse last time and has a bit to prove back on turf here. Marisa's Mission is held by the latter on that last run and again on turf will need to get back to his best to feature.
