NAP – My best tip of the day
Ludlow 3.00 Hidden Heroics (best price 2/1)
Talented hurdler who has already looked a better chaser; relentless way about him winning at Exeter and then made all impressively at Cheltenham when last seen; up 8lb but freshened up since and should complete the hat-trick.
I know HIDDEN HEROICS has only beaten small fields the last twice so this is likely to be a sterner test of credentials and he is up 8lb but he brings a lot of untapped potential here and I’d rather be with him than against as he bids to bring up the hat-trick. He popped out in the lead at Cheltenham and never saw another rival. I can see Harry Skelton adopting similar tactics and if he gets into that rhythm again they might not be able to catch him. Java Point has plenty of experience and ran well when second to Rapper at Cheltenham on penultimate start but wasn’t so good at Doncaster last time and has a bit to prove off the back of that. Quoi De Neuf might pose a greater threat as he was back to winning ways over hurdles here last week and is only up 4lb back over fences here.

Taunton 3.25 Mullinaree (best price 2/1)
Likeable type who caught the eye running a big race in defeat at Huntingdon and then backed that up just bumping into one at Sedgefield; improving all the time and if seeing out the longer trip can go one better now.
I’m keeping the faith with MULLINAREE despite being turned over as a short priced favourite at Sedgefield last time. He didn’t do a lot wrong and pulled 20 lengths clear from the rest with the winner. Jaramillo is a decent yardstick for Warren Greatrex and I don’t think he was disgraced in defeat. He is lightly raced and still improving and looks worth chancing to see out this longer trip. He certainly wasn’t tiring the last day as jumped the final flight with a bit more to give I thought. Aldsworth showed promise in a bumper at Stratford and seems to be gradually getting the hang of things. He is up in trip with cheekpieces applied on handicap debut and could emerge as the danger. The Bold Thady could run well but didn’t find much when asked at Exeter last time.
