MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT MORPHETTVILLE ON MONDAY MORNING!
Race 6 Morphettville 5.00 Philonize (best price 7/4)
Progressive mare who had no problem bringing up the hat-trick at this track on reappearance last month, nicely on top at the line; should be fitter now and can extend the winning sequence here.
It is hard to pick holes in the promising PHILONIZE who will surely be competing in Group races sooner rather than later. She made it 3 in a row on return and up slightly in trip again with further improvement to come she looks the answer once more. Calypso Reign has 8 wins to his name so while he is more exposed he is certainly likely to put up some resistance. That third at Moonee Valley wasn’t too bad last time so he is noted. Agreeable won at Murray Bridge on penultimate start but completely fluffed her lines last time finishing last and has a bit to prove off the back of that. Another Award best of the rest but will need a big performance to spring an upset here.

Race 7 Mackay 7.25 Thisland Is Myland (best price 15/8)
Likeable type who has won 2 of his 5 starts to date and only missed narrowly when trying to follow up last time; open to further improvement and expected to be hitting the line best.
With a good draw it is hard to get away from the improving THISLAND IS MYLAND who looks well placed to score again. He is 2 from 5 and is building a nice profile already. He should be picking up best as the line looms and I’m confident he can come out on top. Tycoon Fury has won 3 from 5 which includes 2 from 3 over the trip so looks the obvious danger. He is going the right way too so I expect the pair to battle it out. It’s Gerry won his first two starts but was poor last time and will need to better that to get involved here. Defrosted is 2 from 14 but does arrive in winning form and she could go better than her odds suggest and perhaps rattle the frame.
