MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT ARARAT ON THURSDAY!
Race 6 Ararat 6.00 Cracker Belle (best price 6/4)
Improving mare who deservedly made the breakthrough at Stawell last time, impressing with how she went clear; could prove hard to beat now the penny has dropped so leading claims against these.
There was lots to like about the way CRACKER BELLE opened her account at Stawell last time and if progressing again should be capable of following up here. This lacks strength in depth and there shouldn’t be too many excuses. Takumi is second fav and he struggles to win races so that tells you a lot about the lack of quality on show. Romanesco Fresco is at least less exposed so she could be the danger if bouncing back. Resolutions won at Geelong back in December but has struggled since so is best watched. Lady In The Sky best of the rest but she is another one that is struggling at the moment having finished last at Cranbourne latest.

Race 3 Pakenham 9.45 Kusini (best price 6/4)
Promising filly who was well backed on debut at Benalla to finish second, going down just half a length; sure to improve on that initial effort and no surprise to see her beat these rivals convincingly.
Great chance for KUSINI to go one better here. She hit the line hard on debut and moves up in trip so is hard to get away from. She will definitely improve and looks well placed to make the breakthrough. Crown Crusher has had a couple of chances already and looks a work in progress so could still finish second but has a bit of work on. New Hampshire is more exposed but at least ran well at Geelong so a reproduction of that might not see him too far away. Real Alliance should have a future but didn’t show masses to finish midfield on debut at Pakenham. The rest all look to be up against it and that includes the debutants who will do better for the run.
