MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 3 AT GOULBURN ON SUNDAY!

Race 3 Goulburn 5.00 Frilled (best price 4/5)

Good looking chestnut filly who bounced out smartly and made all the running to win on debut at Nowra at the start of the month; sure to improve from that initial effort and worth keeping safe.

After winning three trials in preparation it was no surprise to see the money down for FRILLED on debut and she certainly didn’t disappoint winning impressively at Nowra at the start of the month. She is promising and open to plenty of improvement so should be able to go 2-2 here. Tamaroa was also well backed on debut but he could only manage second at Orange going down a couple of lengths. He will improve and is probably the danger. Amnesty won on debut but then struggled a bit last time and she will need to improve again to get back on track and win this. Likely up against it given the potential the favourite brings to the table.

Race 6 Grafton 6.36 Maximum Vortex (best price 15/8)

Promising type who was ridden forward on debut at Grafton and made no mistake bounding clear by over 5 lengths at the finish; obviously open to improvement and can go 2-2.

From an inside draw I expect MAXIMUM VORTEX to bounce out and make all the running again. He was impressive on debut and with confidence high looks to have found the right race to make it a perfect 2-2. Bonjour Rupert improved from his debut run to win at Armidale and then didn’t do much wrong when a close second at Newcastle. Given time since and can do better so should run well enough to make a race of it. Hey Little Sister won on debut but has struggled twice since. This is easier but she needs to get back on track and that could prove to be a big enough task against the top pair in the betting here.
