MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 6 AT WARRNAMBOOL!
Race 6 Warrnambool 5.05 Saunter Boy (best price 10/11)
Useful type who has 15 career wins to his name and was very much back to form going down just half a length at Pakenham last time; won’t need to find much more to get back in the winners enclosure.
Blandford Lad beat SAUNTER BOY last time but he had race fitness on side and I think there is good enough reason to think the latter can reverse that form now. He only went down half a length and given he is 2 from 3 at this track he should be able to win that battle this time around. Blandford Lad remains the danger as he is clearly in good heart right now. Instigator won at Geelong on penultimate start but was a bit disappointing last time so needs to bounce back to spring a surprise here. Fabalot is relatively unexposed so might have a bigger performance in him but this looks tough enough for now so he is passed over.

Race 4 Murray Bridge 5.25 Declared (best price 15/8)
Promising type who looked better than ever on reappearance winning at Balaklava; sure to improve from that first run back and seems to have found the right race to go and follow up in so worth chancing.
This race lacks quality so it looks a good chance for the steadily progressive DECLARED to win again. He knuckled down bravely for pressure to win at Balaklava and with more improvement to come should be able to follow up. Zufasta was really poor at Morphettville last time and needs to bounce back to have a chance in this. Lucky Fortuna is unexposed and at least shaped better when fourth last time so that brings her into this. The Great Baby won on his second start but then was held last time. Could feature but this is tougher enough so he’ll need to improve again to have a say. The rest all look to be up against it.
