MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT CASTERTON ON SUNDAY MORNING!

Race 8 Casterton 7.10 Bold Bourbon (best price 4/5)

Progressive form in recent starts getting back to winning ways at Terang last month and then following up at Warrnambool; hard to beat if in the same form here and very much the one to beat.

This looks a great chance for BOLD BOURBON to complete the hat-trick. He has won his last two convincingly and under likely positive tactics again he should have another win in him. Cormorant is second fav in here but he is just 2 from 20 and has been struggling lately so that tells you about the lack of quality on show here. Brawl was also poor last time and is hard to recommend on that. Might leave Farooq as the danger but he is more exposed and will also need to return to form.

Race 8 Hobart 6.20 Eagle Street (best price 7/4)

Likeable type who has won 3 of his last 4 starts and impressed again over track and trip last month; fitter and open to further improvement so obvious chance of going in again.

No surprise to see EAGLE STREET top the betting for this. He has been progressive recently and with further improvement to come may well make it 4 wins from his last 5 starts. Rich Clan at least arrives here in winning form having scored at Hobart last time but he’ll need more to beat the selection. Etosha also won last time at this track but this is tougher and he is more exposed. Gee Gee Silentnite ran well last time but needs to improve to go one better as this is competitive and a better race in general.
