MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT MOE ON THURSDAY MORNING!

Race 5 Moe 5.30 Calvi (best price 6/5)

Looked a horse going places winning at Cranbourne at the start of the year; beaten twice since but made up plenty of ground on reappearance and should strip fitter now; step up in trip also a big plus.

This looks a great opportunity for CALVI to get back to winning ways. He impressed at Cranbourne and while he has been beaten twice since he caught the eye on resumption doing some good late work and this step up in trip is only going to help further. He has only had the 7 starts so there should be a fair bit more to come. Bucks is plenty more exposed but he has the form in the book to be a danger if back to his best. Ima Dozer only has the 1 win but ran well at Sale and is another one to note.

Race 6 Wyong 6.10 Angel Fund (best price 6/4)

Promising filly who caught the eye to finish third on debut at Newcastle and then opened her account in good style at Gosford last month; obviously open to further improvement and can follow up here.

Great chance for ANGEL FUND to make it 2 wins from 3 starts. She built on an encouraging debut run to win with a bit in hand at Gosford and if progressing again looks the one to beat. Mount Warning has won once and finished runner-up twice from just a handful of starts so with more to come looks the danger. Ringdembells won on penultimate start but then could only finish third at Gosford so will need to better that to come out on top. Sir Kerm best of the rest but likely still up against it.
