Race 2 Grafton 3.50 Tanglewood (best price 11/10)

Promising type who improved to get his head in front impressively at Taree last month; now the penny has dropped could really kick on so good chance to go and follow up against this field.

With Aaron Bullock in the saddle again TANGLEWOOD should prove hard to beat at Grafton on Sunday. He bolted up by 5 and a half lengths last time and while this is tougher he is trending the right way and should be capable of justifying favouritism. Huss On First won on debut but has been beaten twice since. It is still early days so she could be capable of better again and rates the most immediate danger. Bochkareva won at Gold Coat on penultimate start and then acquitted herself well in defeat when fourth at Eagle Farm. She should also get competitive.

Race 2 Hobart 3.28 Creative Licence (best price 7/4)

Likeable type who improved to win over slightly shorter here back in May; denied just a length here last time and up in trip now could have more to come and is well drawn so should go close.

From a good draw this looks a decent opportunity for CREATIVE LICENCE to get back to winning ways. He has run well the last twice winning here and then finishing second last time. He is open to further improvement after just the 4 starts and it is no surprise to see him trading as favourite to take this out. Sweet Lucifer took his form up a notch to win here last time and looks the most obvious danger to the favourite. General Assembly also improved to win last time at Devonport but this does look a deeper contest so he’ll need to find more if he is to follow up.
