It's a shame we only have the 5 runners heading to post for this Listed contest but in truth it is a race that hasn't attracted many horses in recent years. I'm really keen on CHESSPIECE getting back to winning ways. This Nathaniel colt has won 2 from 4 so far and finished behind Gregory in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot last month. He can improve further if settling better and back in trip should be hard to beat.

Circle Of Fire is going the right way too and was a place behind the selection last time so looks the biggest danger. Salt Bay disappointed on reappearance and given time since arrives with enough to prove at present. The other pair look up against it.

I think as long as the ground stays on the faster side of good CONQUISTADOR will be extremely hard to beat at Newmarket on Friday. This progressive 3yo won at Wolverhampton and then Lingfield before finishing a cracking third at Royal Ascot. Racing off the same mark with more to come he should be hard to beat. There is quite a bit of pace on so I think he'll tuck in off the speed before trying to pounce late.

Isle Of Lismore ran well behind Equality at Windsor and then bounced back to form when second to Good Earth last time. If giving his running he will be the danger. Skallywag Bay was turned over at a short price at Lingfield but was only beaten half a length and is also respected.
