Race 2 Corowa 5.05 Daicos (best price 7/4)
Good looking sort who has continued to knock on the door in recent start again going close on final outing; given time since and likely to have improved so leading claims on reappearance.
No surprise to see DAICOS top the betting for this as I think he is ready to strike on return. He showed more than enough last campaign and if ready to roll should have too much for these rivals. Canny Hell won an Albury trial so could be the one to give the selection most to think about despite being on debut here. Persister was only fifth in a trial at Albury so might need more to strike at the first time of asking. I except her to do better for the experience. Freakshake best of the rest but likely up against it.

Race 7 Warrnambool 7.00 Handshake (best price 7/4)
Likeable type who struck at this track last month and held his form well the last twice placing at this track and then at Murtoa last time; the one to beat if building on that again now.
With recent form figures of 2132 HANDSHAKE looks the one to beat in this. He is still open to a bit more improvement and if stepping forward should get back to winning ways. He has the right attitude for the job and is the one to side with. Anewdaydawning is more exposed than the selection but he arrives in winning form and shouldn’t be underestimated. Buoyant could have more to come and is also feared as a danger. Accountability is off the back of an absence and is also 0/3 at the track which is enough to put me off.
