The lightly raced GUINNESS AFFAIR is really progressing now and he followed up his 14-length romp to win with a bit in hand again at Newton Abbot last month. He is up another 4lb but this looks another winnable opportunity and I expect him to complete the hat-trick. He doesn't just have a high cruising speed but finds off the bridle too so is hard to oppose again.

Heronord did impress finally opening his account at Newton Abbot last month but his overall profile is a bit concerning and he isn't a certainty to back that performance up. Rakhine State bolted up at Perth last time but is a 10yo now and is hardly going to improve again.

I was pleasantly surprised to see NIGIRI as big as 9/4 for this as I thought she'd be shorter. This filly by Lope De Vega justified strong support to open her account over 7f at this track last month. That was her handicap debut and she did it with plenty up her sleeve. A 7lb rise looks full warranted and with the step back up to a mile going to suit she is expected to follow up here.

Raimunda has only run 3 times and improved to win over C&D in deep ground last month so looks the danger now handicapping. Golden Melody is dropping in the weights and wasn't disgraced at York last time a bit short of room so might run better than her odds suggest at least.
