There was lots to like about the way CLASSIC won at Sandown last month and he had excuses when suffering a troublesome passage at this track last time. That was a good race though so it was still a very promising effort. Back down in grade and up to a mile should see him get back to winning ways.

Monte Linas impressed winning at York on penultimate start and seemed unsuited by the testing ground at Sandown last time so if bouncing back could be the danger. Cabinet Of Clowns is hard to catch right but could also be dangerous.

Frankel colt BLUE ANTARES caught the eye chasing home Tafsir at Hamilton last month and despite not firing at York next time improved again to bolt up at Ripon last time. That was impressive and understandably a career best. He is up 7lb but the penny seems to have dropped now and he should be able to follow up.

Golden Valour is by Kingman and he ran well beaten less than a length by Ayr Poet on penultimate start. He wasn't as good last time though and does lack consistency. That may leave C&D winner Graces Quest as the main danger dropped another 1lb.
