After missing by an agonising nose at Beverley it was good to see GLENDOWN back in the winners enclosure at Chester last time. He cut through the pack impressively and did it easily in the end. A 7lb rise looks fully warranted and if in that sort of form again is going to prove hard to beat once more.

Sacred Falls has never won a race but she has gone close the last twice and if improving again looks the main danger to the selection. Cavalier Approach won here last month but was well held at Carlisle and needs to bounce back to get involved.

The way NEZEEH won on debut at Thirsk was impressive and if he improves from that initial experience he should make it 2-2 here. He was sent off 11/1 but seemed to know his job well and really hit the line hard to win going away. He should come forward from that and is definitely one to keep on side.

Pen Portrait is bred to be useful and made an encouraging start finishing third at Thirsk. He was only beaten just over a length so if improving looks the danger. Of the rest Biographer also showed encouragement on debut and should have a bright future.
