It was hard not to be impressed with the way GAMBIE TIEP won at Bangor last time. He has now won 3 times over fences this season and even up another 5lb Ben Pauling looks to have found another winnable assignment for him. The danger looks to be Ideallko who won in good style at Ffos Las last week and as long as this doesn't come too soon he will make a race of it.

After some frustrating runs THE CALTONIAN deservedly got his head in front at Newcastle last week. He hit the front still going strongly and it was really quite impressive the way he settled it. He is understandably turned out quickly under a penalty and should be able to follow up under Joe Fanning. Galileo Glass has been pretty consistent and might be the one to chase him home.
