The way INTERVENTION travelled into the race at Kempton last time was eye-catching and I just think he was a bit unlucky to bump into one on the day with the front pair 5 lengths clear. He has won twice over this C&D in the past and 3 times at the track so off the same mark should take a lot of beating. Regal Envoy has won 2 of his last 3 and looks the danger but a 6lb rise definitely asks more.

Roaring Lion filly KAMANIKA knuckled down well for pressure to win at Leicester last week and given that was an apprentice event she gets to race off the same mark. She is looking progressive for the level and with more to come should be up to completing the hat-trick. James Doyle rode her to victory at Sandown and gets back in the saddle which is a notable plus. Corymbosa is unexposed and could be the main threat.
