The way GENERAL MEDRANO won on chase debut at Uttoxeter earlier in the month was really impressive. He jumped really well in the main and looked better as the race went on. He has gone up 7lb for that but is obviously open to a lot more improvement yet and I expect him to follow up. In The Air was back to winning ways over hurdles last time and now sent chasing looks the obvious danger.

The likeable CURIOUS ROVER doesn't know how to run a bad race with form figures of 321212 and he again ran right up to form beaten a little over a length when runner-up at York earlier in the month. I rate the winner there Irish Nectar so I expect that form to work out in time. He is 4lb higher here but I can see the AW suiting and it would be no surprise to see him back to winning ways. Due For Luck might pose the biggest threat to the selection.
