Doncaster 12.55
Plenty of decent prospects lining up for the ITV opener but THE PRICE OF PEACE looked good winning at Chepstow and with more to come over 3 miles could be decent value to follow up against these.
Rocking Man is still unexposed and if handling the ground could have a big say. Country Code is also respected.
Cheltenham 1.15
I thought Jonjo gave JAGWAR a bit of a shocker here on return last month. He was beaten less than 2 lengths and on another day would have won. Either way he will strip fitter now and has tons in his favour here so should prove hard to beat.
Booster Bob has done nothing but drift but clearly has a big engine so is feared. Javert Allen is another one who should get competitive.
Doncaster 1.30
The likeable FEET OF A DANCER can get back to winning ways here. She fairly bolted up on return at Punchestown and then beat all bar the progressive Wodhooh at Leopardstown. If in that form again she should have a great chance of coming out on top once more.
Jetara is tough and likeable too and won this 12 months ago so looks the danger. That’ll Do Moss is also expected to put up some resistance.
Cheltenham 1.50
I thought that was an excellent effort from J’ARRIVE DE L’EST to finish second to Final Orders here on reappearance. He should come on plenty from the run and has a great chance to reverse those placings this time around.
Final Orders sprung a big surprise the last day but shouldn’t be underestimated again and is the danger. Placenet is the gamble and is feared.
Doncaster 2.05
A fascinating race in prospect and if GRAND GESTE jumps as well as he did at Haydock last month he could take a lot of beating here. He won by 6 and a half lengths and looked to relish the step back up in trip so with the ground ideal again he has a massive shout.
Dartmoor Pirate won by 9 lengths at Lingfield and if backing that performance up here could be a big danger. Deep Cave is respected as well.
Cheltenham 2.25
I really don’t understand the drift behind GREY DAWNING as I think he’ll beat these comfortably and cement his Gold Cup claims in March. He won the Betfair Chase so impressively and the ground isn’t as bad as they had feared so that’s a big positive too.
Spillane’s Tower has been backed but I see last year’s winner L’homme Presse as the danger with a run under his belt. Should be a good race!
Cheltenham 3.00
Even at 1/2 I think SIR GINO is a great price here. He is yet to taste defeat remember and was an awesome winner of the Christmas Hurdle back over timber on return last month. He will come on for the run and should be a cut above these.
The New Lion took a tumble in the Fighting Fifth and is looking to bounce back. I think he’ll run well but second at best.
Cheltenham 3.35
The step up in trip has brought out the best in IMPOSE TOI this season. He has comprehensively beaten Strong Leader the last twice and should confirm that form here and come out on top. Connections will be hoping he wins this en route to the Stayers’ in March.
Ma Shantou has been backed but I think she’ll find this company tough and I see Strong Leader as the one to chase him home again.
