Race 4 Canterbury Park 6.10 Milunka (11/10)
Progressive mare who is 2-2 over this track and trip; taking win last time back from 11 months off the track; won second-up before; open to further improvement still and should complete the C&D hat-trick; hard to oppose.
This is a good race for the grade I think but MILUNKA is the clear pick. She is improving all the time and I was impressed with her win here on return. She is unbeaten over this C&D and can still do better so should win this before going on to better things. She has a progressive profile and is tough to get away from. Mubariz came from way back to score at Warwick Farm last time. Looks to be bumping into one here but is still respected as should have more to come. Chalmers will run his race at a price too.

Race 5 Belmont 8.00 Bright Diamond (6/4)
Created a big impression on debut picking up best to run them down and make a winning start over 1000m here last month; good attitude to win by a nose a shade cosily and sure to improve for that; plenty of pace on so will have a target to aim at again.
I’m looking forward to seeing BRIGHT DIAMOND out again for Williams and Pike. She looked a filly to follow overcoming inexperience to make a winning start here last month. She only won by a nose at the line but was well on top and beat a solid yardstick in She’s Enchanted. She can improve tons for that and is taken to make it 2-2. The slight step up in trip can help as well and she has an obvious chance as the odds suggest. Puckapunyal is back from a break but won a recent trial so should emerge as the main threat.
