Race 6 Gold Coast 5.12 Deep Seeded (10/11)
Promising chestnut who ran a cracker on debut beaten less than a length at Ipswich; improved to fill the same position last time but too keen early and was carried wide when trying to make headway; finished well behind the right horse; more to come.
Sticking with the improving DEEP SEEDED at Gold Coast on Friday morning. He was a bit unlucky last time and if he gets a cleaner run through he will be tough to hold out as he looks to make the breakthrough. It’s a big field so he will need the gaps but he has a low gate so should secure a decent position early and can work through from there. Rozeira has experience on side and is probably the main danger. Ran well the last twice so should be thereabouts. Difficult to look past the favourite though granted luck in running.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT TOOWOOMBA ON FRIDAY
Race 1 Toowoomba 8.00 Commander Sara (6/4)
Smart type who came from well off the pace to win cosily two starts back; too much to do last time but far from disgraced in defeat; wide draw here so will need to be at his best but promising sort who can do better so worth keeping on side.
Sticking with COMMANDER SARA here despite the wide draw. He’d be a lot shorter if getting a lower gate but even still I fancy his chances. He likes to come from off the pace so is a bit of a hostage to fortune but I like the make-up here and I think he’ll get a clear sweep through at them. Ticino Belle opened her account at the fourth attempt at Warwick last time and is also improving so looks the main danger. I’ll be surprised if the selection doesn’t prove the stronger though with a smooth passage through.
