Race 8 Seymour 7.00 Flirting (11/10)
Improving filly who came from well off the pace in testing ground to finish third at Sandown last time; start before that showed a good attitude to win by a head; peaks with a handy claim and looks the most likely winner here.
Expecting FLIRTING to prove too good in Race 8 at Seymour on Tuesday morning. She is a filly on the upgrade and possibly even improved to finish third in a stronger race than this at Sandown last time after getting back. With better luck in-running here and against easier opposition she has obvious claims of getting herself back in the winners enclosure. She looks worth sticking with. Pereira should strip fitter for solid efforts at Sale and Geelong the last twice and looks the main danger. Megamea may need the run on return.

Race 3 Ballina 5.05 Hogan’s Dare (11/10)
Left debut run well behind when a fast finishing second on a slow track at Murwillumbah earlier this month; can step forward again and improve a chunk and has found the right race to make the breakthrough; hard to oppose.
We head to Ballina for Tuesday’s NB Down Under and the improving HOGAN’S DARE should be hard to stop here for Matthew Dunn. He picked up well in the ground to finish second last time and with usual progression will be hard to stop here as he looks to make the breakthrough at just the third attempt. It’s a very winnable race so it will be disappointing if he can’t get the job done. Haven Road is consistent and is knocking on the door so rates the main threat to the selection. Needs to find more from somewhere.
