THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT DOWN ROYAL ON SATURDAY AS WE LOOK TO START ANOTHER RUN!
Down Royal 3.00 Easy Game (5/4)
Smart chaser who has landed back-to-back wins at Tramore and Gowran and produced a career best last time staying on well to beat The Storyteller by 7 lengths; race-fit and should take all the beating.
I do like Samcro and Battleoverdoyen still has potential but this looks all about EASY GAME for me. He looked better than ever last time slamming The Storyteller at Gowran and with further improvement a distinct possibility he should come out on top. He has fitness against the two mentioned and is really hard to oppose. The Storyteller himself had won two starts heading into that defeat and has since come out and won by over 7 lengths himself so the form has been strongly franked. Samcro sets the standard off the back of his Cheltenham Festival win and does go well fresh so I expect him to give the selection a race but I’m happy to side with Willie Mullins 6yo on this occasion.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT WOLVERHAMPTON ON SATURDAY EVENING!
Wolverhampton 5.00 Frow (5/4)
Improving fast and had no problem landing the hat-trick over C&D 9 days ago; up 8lb but likelihood is there is more to come yet so one to keep firmly on side especially in a race as winnable as this.
The David Brown-trained FROW has justified favouritism on each of his last three runs and he doesn’t look done improving yet. He was impressive again last time and looks the most obvious winner again despite the 8lb rise. Rockesbury and Gms Princess will make sure they don’t hang about and that can suit the selection as he looks to swoop late. Handy 5lb claimer Ray Dawson has been booked for the ride so that certainly helps matters. Rockesbury wasn’t disgraced when fourth to Pope Gregory at Chelmsford on Thursday so I wouldn’t want them to give him too much of a soft lead as he is capable. Giant Steps may prove a bigger threat though as he has Oisin Murphy booked.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Down Royal and Wolverhampton on Saturday.
