THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) LANDED OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT EAGLE FARM!

Race 7 Eagle Farm 6.33 Wuddacuddashudda (10/11)

Progressive sort who made the breakthrough at Gold Coast last month, dictating and stretching out well; low gate a big plus and should push forward and dominate again with the promise of more to come.

We were with WUDDACUDDASHUDDA last time and I’m not about to abandon him now over his optimum trip from a low gate. He will strip even fitter and has scope to go on with it. This is fairly competitive but for me he has the most obvious claims and should be hard to peg back. Zoukina is yet to strike over this trip with three seconds and a third but has to be respected as she is rarely far away. Sakura Star was only denied a head on penultimate start and would enter calculations off the back of that but she was only third last time and needs more on that. Twelve Apostles was well backed when winning on debut and wasn’t disgraced last time so is also considered but fav a strong choice.

Race 8 Sandown 8.00 Garvoc (13/8)

Likeable mare who has a terrific record so far with 4 wins from 7 starts; building up a decent profile now and had excuses last time so strongly fancied to get back on track here before going on to better things.

Plenty went wrong for GARVOC last time and given that was a much stronger race than this she is strongly fancied to resume her progress here. If she does she should have these covered. She has a handy draw and gets the 3kg claim too so has plenty in favour. Rathlin should run well in this easier grade and has been gelded so might be a bit overpriced especially in terms of hitting the frame. Rogue Star will strip fitter and is a danger if pushing forward from a wide gate. Arigato is a nice mare and while she failed in the hat-trick bid last time she also has to be respected as her previous form stacks up and she definitely has plenty of ability. Likely to give the selection a race at least.
