THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER JUMPS AT WINCANTON ON MONDAY AFTERNOON!
Wincanton 3.00 Sashenka (11/10)
Set to collect before a tumble 2 out at Catterick earlier this month; travelled notably strongly on that occasion; decent mark now handicapping and compensation surely awaits with a clean round here?
We had this with Liberty Bella a few weeks back and I know it isn’t ideal backing one at a short price following a fall but SASHENKA was home and hosed last time before coming down and if she puts in a clear round she should win this. She goes handicapping off a mark of 116 and given she was a near 80-rated rival on the Flat she should be off a good mark here. She was travelling so well last time so if she jumps she should have too much. Triple Nickle won over C&D last time and looks the biggest danger to the selection. Sweet Adare didn’t take to fences and was rather laboured back over timber last time so is hard to recommend in current form. Jedhi and Daytime Ahead also both have enough to prove.

Stratford 2.20 Jemima P (13/8)
Likeable mare who showed the benefit of a breathing op to win gamely at Exeter earlier this month; up 5lb but capable of better and looks well placed to follow up if building on that; big chance.
This isn’t a great race so I’ll be disappointed if JEMIMA P doesn’t take full advantage. She opened her account over fences by the narrowest of margins at Exeter and should do better now she has that experience under her belt. She is up 5lb but that could be extremely lenient if she progresses as connections hope. Brave Jaq is consistent and is feared most but he just looks to be bumping into one again. Jarlath was expected to do better last time but if bouncing back would also be a threat to the selection. The cheekpieces have been taken off now though so he has to prove he is as effective. Nightfly looks regressive and nothing at the bigger prices make much appeal.
